No. buddyboost is a standalone system, with all personal information held on secure databases in compliance with the applicable GDPR regulations. As part of our service, buddyboost supplies aggregated data and information to a company administrator in order for companies to measure employee engagement and impact. However, any information provided is strictly anonymised and never allows personal identification either explicitly or by implication.

No. However, if someone has used your unique company link or company code to register for buddyboost then they will be able to see the organisational feed. Your company will issue guidelines on the appropriate use of its unique registration link.

No. Only you and your buddies can see your buddy group feed. Once you leave a buddy group then you can no longer see the buddy group feed. However, the activity streaks and mood you’ve recorded always stay with you, even if you change buddy groups.

No. Once you have signed-up to buddyboost you can invite anyone to buddy-up with you by sending an invite from your device. However, your company should provide guidelines around the appropriate use of the company’s specific magic link or registration code. The unique link or code allows people to register as part of a specific company challenge and be part of their buddyboost community. 

No. You can provide any email address. The email address is used so that we can contact you in case of service updates or for helpful information such as newsletters. Further information on how we use your information can be found in our privacy policy.  

The buddyboost app is only available in Europe.

Yes.  However, we recommend that you use a handheld device such as a smartphone for the best experience, particularly during the registration and buddy group formation process.

Not at all, it’s entirely voluntary.  If people decide to sit it out, you can still cheer on your colleagues who are taking part, they’ll appreciate your encouragement.  The buddy group functionality is set up to allow people to join-up at any time (or leave) as they wish.

Yes absolutely. buddyboost ensures that management supports the ethos that having healthy and happy employees means creating a healthy and happy workplace. This means you should have full support to take exercise during work hours whilst respecting your normal working conventions.
